A circular gilded medal, the obverse depicting the rightward facing bust of Franz Joseph that is circumscribed by his name and title in Latin, the reverse inscribed “Signum Laudis” in capitalized Latin within a partial laurel/oak leaf wreath, on a swivel crown for suspension from its period original tri-fold war ribbon with swords, medal is 30mm, cased. Correct period case in excellent condition
