Description
A Führer and Reich Chancellor’s Standard. Dual sided, woven linen standard with a printed image. Red base field with black/white/black outer border trim. Centered on the red field is a white circular field with a black static swastika with a white and black striped outer border, encompassed by a golden yellow circular oak leaf wreath with tan accents. Each corner of red field has a golden yellow eagle with the Wehrmacht styled eagle with down swept wings to the upper right and lower left corners and a political style national eagle outstretched wings to the opposite two corners.Image is identical to both sides. White bunting hoist edge has a tunnel looped suspension rope with stitched attachment loops to both the top and bottom corners. Hoist edge bunting is well marked with black ink stamped designation abbreviation that appears to be “Stand. d.Führers Gr.1”, and dimensions in centimeters,“50 x 50”. White bunting hoist edge also has a white rayon tag with blue machine woven manufacturer's name and location, “Wurttembergische Cattunmanufactur Heidenheima. Brz.”. The standard is in overall very good condition with some small minor holes and minor age and usage toning. Scarce!
