German Death Card for Max Pfeiffer, sergeant in the Luftwaffe, volunteer in the Condor Legion, holder of the Spanish Cross in Gold and other high awards. He died a heroic death in faithful fulfillment of his duty for the Führer and the Reich, in an air battle in France at the age of 27, on May 19, 1940.
