Hitler Youth Landjahr Sleeve Triangle #20230
Description
1st version Landjahr sleeve triangle for the HJ, as seen in the Wilhelm Saris book 'Handbook of the Hitler Jugend' (pages 475-476). As Saris explains, the black variation was only in use for 3-4 weeks in the spring of 1934 before being phased out and replaced by the much more common green version, which would explain why these first versions are so impossible to find. This earlier model was available for both the HJ (gold font on a black background) as well as for the BDM (white font on a black background), while the later green version with white letters was used by both the HJ and BDM.
